When you become a member of a Wesleyan Church (just like at many other churches), it opens up some doors for different leadership positions. You have the option to vote in church wide elections (like lead pastors and the way we spend money) AND you have the option to serve on our Local Board (they’re the people that come up with the ideas that people vote on and help steer the direction of our church). We love for people to become members and step into these roles because the Church then functions more like a democracy rather than just a few people dictating the direction of ministries and outreach.
At the class, we’ll serve lunch, provide childcare, and teach you a bit about the history of the Wesleyan Church and how you become a part of our team. As Pastor Scott says, “You don’t have to become a member after attending the class, but you do have to attend the class to become a member.” So, if you’re curious, join us!
